Tomomi Martin, MAIA
Project management & construction engineering · Sacramento, California
A driven, results-oriented project manager with a foundation in engineering, honed over a decade with construction and general contractor teams. I'm fully bilingual in Japanese and English, and I'm open to my next role.
Background
I started in construction on the administrative side, spending five years at Alston Construction keeping contracts, submittals and project paperwork moving across commercial builds in the Sacramento area. That's where I learned that a well-run project is mostly a well-run process.
From there I moved into the field as a project engineer with Soltek Pacific on the UC Davis Walker Hall seismic correction, then into project management with Cumming Corporation, facilitating facility expansion and real estate projects for Siemens Mobility. At Colin Construction Company I added estimating to my engineering work, pricing and delivering builds for a general contractor in Auburn.
Most recently I managed infrastructure projects at West Yost as a project management specialist, supporting civil engineering teams and their public-agency clients.
Growing up between Japan and the United States, I'm fully bilingual, which has let me work comfortably with owners, trades and partners on both sides of the Pacific.
